Depth of Field

 Shifting which one would be in focus and one would be out of focus helps to create a story. The first image show how the puppy is hiding from the ball maybe even scared of it. The second image show how its about to attack the ball and ready, showing how its preparing itself. So i can say it did change the meaning in the photos. The viewers could see these image differently but it depends on how they see it.
