Imogen Cuningham

          Imogen Cuningham was a American photographer, she won an award for creative art, before she got into photography she studied chemistry at University of Washington. she soon to realized that she wanted to focus more on her photography. Imogen got her first camera at the age of 18 she stating photos as a full time job. While she wanted to pursue her photography plan she still stayed in the university but now juggling that class plus photography classes. She then graduate but continued with take pictures. She manly take photos of landscapes, nudes, and portraits.
         I picked her to research because of the mood that her photos give off as, someone who is trying to learn more about different art styles black and white images are very helpful with knowing were to shade. Her images are very mellow and smooth, but at the same time it shows details. i learned that always have a back up but pursue what you actually want to do in life, because that what she did and lucky enough she became famous for her art

Depth of Field

 Shifting which one would be in focus and one would be out of focus helps to create a story. The first image show how the puppy is hiding from the ball maybe even scared of it. The second image show how its about to attack the ball and ready, showing how its preparing itself. So i can say it did change the meaning in the photos. The viewers could see these image differently but it depends on how they see it.
